Install the extension
- Download the Ramuvo Workspace VSIX.
- In VS Code 1.95 or newer, open the Command Palette and run Extensions: Install from VSIX….
- Choose the downloaded package and reload the editor if prompted.
- Open the Ramuvo activity-bar view or run Ramuvo: Open Workspace.
Connect your workspace
Basic Ramuvo: Sign In grants identity only. Connect Workspace requests repository and organization read access. Creating and pushing request additional permissions through browser consent. Tokens expire after one hour; reconnect when asked.
- Run Ramuvo: Connect Workspace.
- Sign in through your browser and review the requested permissions.
- Approve access and return to the initiating editor window.
- Check that your repositories and organization memberships appear.
Create, clone, or publish
Create Repository makes an empty hosted repository after you review owner, name, and visibility. Clone Repository downloads an accessible project into a new destination folder. Publish Local Repository creates a hosted repository, adds a new remote, and pushes the current branch.
- Install Git on the extension host and trust your local project.
- Initialize Git and create a commit before publishing. Make sure you are on a named branch.
- Run Ramuvo: Publish Local Repository and confirm the new repository details.
- For later committed changes, use Ramuvo: Push to Ramuvo.
Before you continue: Publishing does not stage uncommitted files. If creation succeeds but pushing fails, use Push to Ramuvo to retry instead of creating another repository.
Manage collaboration
Expand a repository in the Workspace view to open issues, pull requests, boards, actions, discussions, roadmap, releases, or settings. These management pages open in your browser and use its login. Local Git history, blame, diffs, and the Ramuvo graph stay in the editor.
Recover a browser callback
VS Code, VS Code Insiders, and VSCodium callbacks are supported. Remote hosts use editor callbacks; browser-only editors and virtual workspaces are unsupported. Install Git on the remote host or container when that is where the extension runs.
- Keep the editor window that began sign-in open.
- If the return fails, select Copy sign-in link on the browser result page.
- Run Ramuvo: Complete Sign-in in the waiting editor and paste that link.
- Use Ramuvo: Cancel Sign-in to stop an old attempt before retrying.
